Plattsburgh woman gets jail, probation for drug possession
A Plattsburgh woman who was arrested in one of the largest heroin busts in Saranac Lake history has been sentenced to jail time and probation.
Katherine Beebie, 30, was one of five people charged after village police raided a house on Shepard Avenue in April of last year and seized 95 grams of heroin and 14 grams of cocaine.
Beebie was charged with third-degree and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
She pleaded guilty Jan. 11 to third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced by Franklin County Court Judge Robert Main Jr. to five years probation and six months in the county jail.
