Prescott Park planning workshop set for Thursday
SARANAC LAKE — The village Parks and Trails Advisory Board and Community Development Department will host the 10th public input meeting Thursday on creating vision plans for all village parks.
The meeting, set for 4 p.m., will focus on Prescott Park and Riverfront Park, located on either side of the state’s Lake Flower Boat Launch. Attendees are asked to meet at Prescott Park.
“Neighbors, supporters, users, families, and stakeholders are welcome and encouraged to attend,” the village said in a press release. “Workshop participants will help identify needs and opportunities for Prescott and Riverfront Parks that will be included in the park’s vision plans. Stakeholder groups, with their insights on the history and existing conditions for the locations, are encouraged to attend as well as those who love and enjoy these parks on Lake Flower.”
The workshop will be held rain, snow or shine. The vision plans will help the village prioritize future park improvements and programming.
The last village park workshop is planned this year for Ward Plumadore Park (next to Bitters & Bones), at 6 p.m. Dec. 15. The meeting will also be a celebration of the public input on the village park strategy.
The Community Development Department has also released a parks survey that is available online at www.saranaclakeny.gov and in the village offices on the second floor of the Harrietstown Town Hall, 39 Main St., Saranac Lake.
