ROOST to hold public meeting on Tupper Lake brand study

TUPPER LAKE – The Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism will hold a public meeting on its ongoing brand study for Tupper Lake.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. June 6 in the community room of the Goff-Nelson Memorial Library at 41 Lake St. in Tupper Lake.

The meeting will consist of a brief presentation and discussion time. Officials from Adworkshop and ROOST will discuss the branding process and review comments from the virtual focus group that recently wrapped up for the brand study. Then they’ll accept public comment on the direction of the new branding.

ROOST, the destination marketing organization responsible for promoting Tupper Lake as a travel destination, is facilitating the brand study, which is funded through a grant from Adirondack Foundation’s Tupper Lake Fund. So far the study has consisted of a survey sent to both residents and visitors, as well as the virtual focus group, both of which aimed to see how Tupper Lake is perceived both by those who live there and travelers.

Adworkshop, a full-service ad agency in Lake Placid, will then take that information to create a uniform brand for Tupper Lake, which will help build it into a premier vacation destination in the future.
